Well, three major Chinese smartphone manufacturers namely Vivo, Xiaomi, and Oppo have partnered to launch an alternative to Airdrop. So here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming file sharing service by Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
Inter Transmission Alliance: Better File Sharing Experience
As mentioned above, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Oppo have collaborated to launch a file sharing service. The cross-brand one-click transmission technology will allow smartphone users to effortlessly transfer files with a stable transfer speed of 20mbps. Since this technology will be integrated into the custom skin it will eliminate the need to install third-party file transferring applications.
A user can send or receive different types of files like photos, videos, music, documents and many more. This technology will rely on Mobile Point-to-Point Fast Transfer Protocol. Furthermore, it will use Bluetooth to establish a fast and secure connection. As for the actual transfer of data, WiFi will be used in the backend. Xiaomi has named this collaboration as Inter transmission alliance. Additionally, Xiaomi is also welcoming another smartphone OEM’s to join this alliance and be a part of this file-sharing ecosystem. Xiaomi’s official announcement through the MIUI account on WeChat post stated that “Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo jointly established the “Inter-Transfer Alliance” to achieve cross-brand one-key mutual transmission, bringing users a better file transfer experience. After the call, the inter-transfer function is fast, fast, low-power, no need for traffic and third-party applications, cross-brand file transfer and data migration “one-touch”, and recently open beta.”
We can expect this technology to become mainstream in the future. Do share your thoughts and opinions on this alliance in the comments section below.
