— Mi India (@XiaomiIndia) April 10, 2015 The Mi 4i iteration was spotted by a Chinese website MyDrivers on Singapore’s Infocomm Development authority (IDA) database, and also on GeekBench, a benchmarking website over the weekend. As per the GeekBench listing, the Xiaomi Mi 4i is a Android 5.0.2 Lollipop based smartphone. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.65GHz. It is powered by 2GB RAM and has 16GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for expansion of memory. According to GeekBench, specs of Xiaomi Mi 4i closely match the yet-unannounced secret Xiaomi project codenamed ‘Ferrari’ which was leaked last month. The Ferrari had a 4.9-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, Adreno 405 GPU, 12-megapixel rear camera and 4.8-megapixel front shooter. Xiaomi has officially not confirmed that the ‘Ferrari’ is indeed Xiaomi Mi 4i or that it will be launched at the gala event on 23rd April. Also not much is known about the pricing and availability date as the launch is a world premier event. The firm last week said it has set a new Guinness World Record for mobile phone sales by selling 2.11 million handsets in a 24-hour flash sale held to celebrate its fifth anniversary – the Mi Fan Festival.and coupled with 2GB of RAM. This makes the Mi 4i a less powerful variant of the Mi 4 flagship, which houses a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Update: Xiaomi Mi 4i launched at ‘Global Mi Phone Premiere’ in India at Rs 12,999
