Following user complaints, Poco has acknowledged the heating problem in the MIUI Bug Report For POCO Devices dated August 9, 2021. According to the company, the issue has affected a “small volume” of users who have installed the software version MIUI 12.5.4.0.RKJINXM installed on their Poco F3 GT. While the post doesn’t specify the reason behind the heating issue, the said software update came via July Android Security Patch that was released just a week after the Poco F3 GT phone debuted in India. Some users took to Twitter to report about the heating issue. In a few cases, the Poco F3 GT gets a bit warmer than usual during regular usage, while in some cases, it gets heated up quickly when playing games or while charging the phone.

The company plans to address the issue with an upcoming “temperature control strategy update”, although it has not provided any timeline to resolve the problem. Since the issue has been acknowledged in an MIUI bug report, we can expect the problem to be resolved within a couple of weeks. Keep watching this space for more updates, as this is a developing story!
