With the introduction of Andromeda OS, Microsoft is looking to make Windows 10 a universal OS that will allow it to adapt to each specific device without being based on particular, prior product variants. In other words, Andromeda OS will turn Windows 10 into a modular system suitable for different architectures rather than the x86 architecture used by desktops, laptops, and tablets running Intel or AMD chips....

In reality all the Microsoft sites, including search engine Bing and MSN.com, were knocked briefly offline Friday after bad code was rolled out, according to a report. The source said the Microsoft engineers struggled to immediately roll-back the code, which would have potentially cut the outage time down considerably....

The antivirus-testing lab, AV-Comparatives conducted research on 250 Android antivirus apps in Google Play Store against 2,000 malware samples. The group found that only 80 of the apps could detect over 30% of the 2,000 malicious samples thrown at them by the testing lab during individual tests with zero false alarms. The study also found that antivirus apps from 138 vendors detected less than 30% of the Android malware samples, or had a relatively high false alarm rate on popular clean files from the Google Play Store....
