The hacker also used abusive language for Indian prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Army chief Dalbir Singh Suhag. One of the Image from the deface page shows Pakistan’s National flag covering the entire map of India. The hacker also said that changing the server or redesigning the website will not help the website to be safe from them....

According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, a New Jersey man Louis Meza, 35, has been indicted of kidnapping and stealing $1.8 million worth of ether, the cryptocurrency of the Ethereum (Bitcoin rival) network, from his friend’s cryptocurrency wallet at gunpoint. The incident took place on November 4th when Meza had a meeting with his friend at his apartment. Meza called a car service for the friend after the meeting to take him back to his place....

In a new post on the Windows Dev Center, Microsoft explains on how developers can customize their apps for multi-instance support. “Prior to Windows 10, version 1803, only one instance of a UWP app could be running at a time. Now, a UWP app can opt-in to support multiple instances. If an instance of a multi-instance UWP app is running, and a subsequent activation request comes through, the platform will not activate the existing instance....

Known as Limited Periodic Scanning, this new feature configures Windows Defender to scan the system in intervals even if other antivirus solutions are used primarily. It also performs with Windows Defender on your PC to remove malware that a third-party solution might not identify. The main idea behind the feature is to improve system security by using Windows Defender as a second-opinion scanner on Windows 10 devices. This is an optional feature that is not enabled by default....

Earlier this year, Microsoft had open-sourced key components of ChakraCore. This new move means that developers will have an easier time building cross-platforms apps on Linux or OS X. In a blog post, Microsoft stated: “Bringing ChakraCore to Linux and OS X is all about giving developers the ability to build cross-platform applications with the engine. The JavaScript Runtime (JSRT) APIs to host ChakraCore were originally designed for Windows, so they inevitably had a few Windows dependencies – for example, Win32 usage of UTF16-LE encoding for strings, where other platforms might use UTF8-encoded strings....

Although Microsoft offered options to its users like ‘snooze’ for rebooting, which allowed them to postpone the update for three days, or pick a suitable time for a restart, users still find the rebooting logic quite frustrating. Citing fears of misuse, Microsoft on Friday called upon U.S. Congress to regulate the use of facial recognition technology to protect human rights like privacy and freedom of expression. The Seattle-based software giant argued that regulation is necessary as it would lay down laws for governing acceptable uses of facial technology by the U.S. government and protect citizens against constant surveillance that the technology could facilitate. While a lot of activist groups and smaller companies in the past have requested for similar regulation to avoid abuse of the tech, Microsoft is the first tech giant to do so....
