Smart TV users had to use the Google Cast toolbar icon to cast movies or images but now they will get a native button on Google Chrome with cast support. Google is rolling out some changes to Casting in the desktop version Chrome with the latest release, 51. If you have downloaded the Chrome 51, you simply have to right click a tab or click the hamburger button on the right-hand part of the desktop browser to find a line in the menu that says “Cast…” Unfortunately, the new Chrome 51 with Cast option is being rolled out in phases so it could be a while before this version reaches your desktop....

While 5G standards are in the process of getting finalized, Nokia, the Finnish telecommunications giant, and one of China’s leading providers of Internet services, Tencent Holdings signed a cooperation agreement to carry out joint research and development to “explore the potential of 5G for the provision of new applications”, including different vertical markets. The agreement was formalized when the two firms signed a Strategic Framework Agreement at the 2018 Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai that took place at the end of June....

OnePlus founder, Carl Pei took to the OnePlus forums to announce the availability of the OnePlus Loop VR headset and a “VR shopping experience” for the OnePlus 3. Pei said that the Loop VR headset should make for “a more robust, immersive and comfortable experience.” OnePlus intends to make the OnePlus 3 even more special with a custom-built VR headset. Nokia Bell Labs demonstrated in lab tests a whopping 65 terabit-per-second transmission using dual-band fiber amplifiers. The speed is equivalent of streaming 10 million high-definition TV channels simultaneously.
