The hack was first pointed by a Redditor eavesdroppingyou who discovered that if you try and rent a movie with a large file size, your phone will automatically erase some unnecessary files you don’t need. eavesdroppingyou, who owns a 16GB iPhone says that repeating the process a few times could free up anywhere from 1GB to 2GB of your valuable storage space in an iPhone.
Remember, the larger the size of the movie, the more easy it is to free up the space. eavesdroppingyou chose Lord of the Rings film, The Two Towers to demonstrate the hack. I tried the hack with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and was able to free up 1.2GB in the first attempt on my iPhone 32GB
