In all 8 Vietnamese government websites were defaced by the hacktivist group. They left a deface page along with a message giving their statement against the imprisonment of thousands of political prisoners. The message left by the Anonymous group says that that on occasion of 70th anniversary of independence, none of prisoners released by Vietnamese government were political prisoners. The Vietnamese government had released over 18,200 prisoners on the occasion of their independence day, however, Anonymous claim that none of them were political prisoners. At the time of publishing this article, all the hacked websites were still showing the defaced page.
